Let’s start with this topic of way to add attribute in Magento 2 .

First Login to admin using you username and password.

Next step is after login you will see in bottom their is a menu called stores.

After clicking on stores menu then you will sub-menu called Attributes.

Under Attributes, their is a menu called product.

Click on the product menu link.

After that Product Attributes tab will get open.

In next step on clicking product sub-menu link below image display.

Inside Product Attributes on right hand side you will menu called Add New Attributes button.

So click on that button to add media image attribute.

After click on the New Attributes button, new tab open called “New Product Attribute“.

In that tab you will see on left hand side menu called Attribute Information.

Below that menu you will see two sub menu.

Click on first menu called Properties.

After click you will see right hand side many fields regarding attribute which you fill.

There is two accordion tabs one is Attributes Properties and another is Advanced Attribute Properties.

Inside Attributes Properties you have to add Default label and select Catalog Input Type for Store owner as Media Image.

And Inside Advanced Attribute Properties add Attribute code, then select the scope of the attribute as per your requirement.

Similarly, select Add to Column Options and Use in filter options as per your requirement.

After adding all this option on left hand side you will see one more sub-menu called Manage Labels.

In that section you can manage attribute label for different store.

After this final step click on save button to save attribute.

To Set Attribute for Media image attribute.

Now next step is to setting up the attribute set.

To set this click on menu store on the left.

On clicking you will see sub-menu inside Attributes, there is sub-menu Attribute menu.

Click on this button to set attribute for media image.

From below image you understand navigation to attribute set.

After click on Attribute set, Tab get open called Attribute sets.

Inside that their is a button called Add Attribute Set.

It is used to set new Attribute Set as like Default.

But now we going to set our media attribute inside default attribute only.

Check with below image you come to know.

So now click on Default tab.

Below image is a default tab image.

In that you will see right hand side inside unassigned attribute section our previously created media image attribute.

Then media image attribute called product label move inside image folder section.

After this click on the save to save media attribute inside default section.

To check the image attribute.

Click on the catalog menu on the right hand side after which product tab get open.

You will see product section, from the below image you can understand carefully.

After clicking on one of the product, inside image and video product tab section click on image.

From the below image you can understand successfully.

Then click on the image to check with the image detail.

On click of image image detail tab get open.

On the right hand side you will see role section, inside that newly created media image attribute present.

New created media image attribute is product label.
